There are 25 states/ union territories of the country where there are no psychologists/ psychiatrics in jails.

Lack of women in Judiciary and Police Department

According to the Indian Justice Report 2025, the women of the country are still quite low in departments like police and judicies. Only 38% of women are working in District Courts. Women participation in judiciary has increased but she is mostly working in the lower positions.

The condition of the police department is also similar in which only 8% of women are working across the country. The participation of women in the police of 17 states of the country is less than 10%.

Police force will take 200 years to have 33% women

When the report released in 2025 was compared to the 2022 report, it was revealed that there are many states in the country where women's share in the police department will take one -third of the one -thirds of it, ie only 33%, it will take 200 years or more.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands will take 220.8 years and Tripura will take 222.2 years. Apart from this, Jharkhand will take 175.1 years for the police to have a one -third of women. The condition of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh is the best in this case. Both these states may manage to bring women's share in the police department 33% in 3.3 years.

70% post of forensics in many states lying vacant

The forensic department for the legal system is like a lifeline. But 50% of the 10 thousand posts of Forensic Department in India are lying vacant. In states like Telangana, Haryana and Bihar, 70% of scientific staff posts could not be filled in forensics. The condition of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in this case is somewhat better. Where only 3.7% posts in Kerala are vacant, 19.9% ​​posts in Tamil Nadu have not been filled.
